Windows Embedded for Point of Service （一般简称为 “WEPOS”） 是微软在 2005 年发布的基于 Windows NT 5.1 内核的 Windows 嵌入式操作系统， 可以看作是专为 POS 机这类嵌入式专业设备以及销售服务点终端而设计的 [[OS:Windows XP Embedded|Windows XP Embedded 嵌入式操作系统]]， 后续则被同样采用 Windows NT 5.1 内核的 [[OS:Windows Embedded POSReady 2009|Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 嵌入式操作系统]]所继任。
<abbr title="特指 “版本 1.0”">初始版本</abbr>自带 Service Pack 2 更新， 但是有 Service Pack 3 更新可用。
不同于过去在基于 Windows NT 5.1 和 Windows NT 5.2 内核的 Windows 桌面操作系统中常见的 <code>i386</code> 安装方式， 转而采用了 WIM 安装方式， 这在基于 Windows NT 5.1 和 Windows NT 5.2 内核的 Windows 桌面操作系统中尚属首次； 这一新颖的安装方式不仅出现在 [[OS:Windows Vista|Windows Vista 客户端及工作站操作系统]]及更高版本的 Windows 桌面操作系统中， 甚至也影响了后续一众基于 Windows NT 5.1 和 Windows NT 5.2 内核的 Windows 桌面操作系统。
