注意：Windows XP Professional x64 Edition和Windows XP 64-Bit Edition 是两款不同的产品。 前者用于amd64（intel64，x86-64）架构的计算机，后者用于IA64架构的计算机（Version 2002 为NT 5.1内核，Version 2003 为NT 5.2内核）。不过早期的Windows XP Professional x64 Edition测试版常自我显示为Windows XP 64-Bit Edition。除此之外，Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition中文版强行转换为Client后，在安装程序自我介绍时也显示为Windows XP 64-Bit Edition。
